True Intimacy

“I painted this after an experience I had with someone I loved. Sometimes when you are present enough to let your guard down and experience a truly intimate moment with another, it’s as if the fabric of physical reality collapses around you and what is left are your Essences, or souls. You remember this person across time and space. There is recognition and understanding of your part in each other’s lives and your interconnectedness with the universe. If fear and ego is dismantled for even the smallest moment to see this, it can change you forever.

The spheres in the painting above the couple are a crude representation of what I’ve actually ‘seen’ to be our Essences, or souls. They appear to me as enormous and powerful, gyrating  globes of light and energy, with an intricate pattern of connecting points representing a tapestry of lives that contribute to the soul’s evolution.”
